More details to this question:
Hi my name is Chunwei Chen. I recently purchase a car from a private party in NY. I did not realize the car title has lien on it, now I cannot register this vehicle in NJ to drive it. I must obtain lien release letter from the bank but the person who sold it to me never told me it has lien on the title. Me not familiar with NY law, in NJ you don't get the title unless you payed off your loan. This car is 87 jeep being this old I assume the loan is payed off but now I need assistance to obtain this letter from the bank this person gives me the run around I need to call the bank my self and all that. I hope you can help me with this matters. Thanks Chunwei Chen. My number is 732-470-4758 My address is 44 sycamore ave Bridgewater NJ 08807

Update Your Profile
You are in a difficult position because the car a not be worth the amount that it takes to get this corrected with the help of an attorney. The car is a 1987 Jeep. The cost to have an attorney correct this action is probably greater than the value of the car. You should try to correct this problem your self with New Jersey Department of motor vehicle. Ed Dimon
