More details to this question:
I have a 2008 Mercedes Benz c300 my car failed to start three months ago. I brought it to the Mercedes dealership and they told me it was my steering lock. They were asking for to much money I called the manufacturer to despite the problem and they didn't do much to help. I did more research on the problem because I have to pay around $1400 for the steering lock and that did not fix my issue now I'm looking at another $1400 for the electronic ignition switch. That is to much money to pay for to be fixed when it is a known problem with that year make and model. I found a champaign #2008020003. Those are the exact symptoms I have with my car and they only recalled 10 vehicles for that issue with the same year make and model, and not mine. I argued with the manufactur and they didnt have much to say of why my car was opted out of that selected few with the same problems.

I am of the opinion that you should work with Mercedes-Benz and the dealer. The cost to go against Mercedes-Benz and the dealer would be prohibitive. I would do my homework on the Internet for consumers that a same vehicle and the same problem.I would then work closely with the dealer and the car company. You do not have the money to sue Mercedes.
