QUESTION

proof of purchase for warranty

Asked on Mar 29th, 2016 on Consumer Law - Florida
More details to this question:
I contracted with Home Depot to purchase and install a vinyl Privacy Fence which as a limited, transferable, lifetime warranty. The Manufacturer is Barrette Active Yards. Both my contract and receipt exclude the necessary details of my purchase (Manufacturer, Product, SKU) that I need should I need to file a warranty claim. When I called Home Depot, they said that they do not provide delivery manifests, or detailed receipts for this (fencing) product. They refuse to identify the product that was installed on my property.

You made to hire  lawyer to intervene here for two reasons, one to estalish the details needed for the warranty and two if the contractor was provided HD to make sure that you arent scammed with substandard materiel.
