aa economy in west palm beach,has the car for almost four months,fax me a bill to sign for 950.00 engine oil seal replacement, claiming the car would be out the door for the price,, then i called and said they found a cracked pump on the transmission for another 700.00 , they faxed it and i signed it, i called for an update,, now they tell me the computer is bad,, the car does not drive, for another 1500 , the car was running great before taking for the oil leak and transmission leak,i feel as a senior citizen they took advantage of me,, told me that the computer just gave out,, it was find before i took the car there,, please let me know if u can help kind regards Elva olschewske
Unfortunately, what you describe is not an inherent legal problem. At least not yet. Stating that "the car ran great" except for it was leaking oil AND transmission fluid, is the OPPOSITE of running great. If you dont trust them, you can pay for the repairs you authorized and have car towed elsewhere to get second opinion on computer. YOu could also hire a lawyer to intervene for you, as this will often scare scammers out of scam mode, but youhave to weigh the expense added.
