QUESTION

Should I contact a lawyer?

Asked on Jan 14th, 2015 on Consumer Law - New Jersey
More details to this question:
2007 Ford Edge was recalled. When I took in for repairs the car was taken from me because it was deemed unsafe to continue to drive. Was given a rental til 10/16. This worries me so I told Ford I no longer want the car. Ford stated they will allow be to buy another vehicle at there x plan 10 rate and use my car as a trade in. I still owe $10,000. Is this a fair exchange or can I do better?

I believe I answered this question before. I would work closely with Ford. Ford understands that the 2007 vehicle was a lemon. They have given you a rental car without charge. They will work with you on the purchase of a new car. I would take the new car.
