QUESTION

What are my options?

Asked on Apr 14th, 2014 on Consumer Law - Florida
More details to this question:
I have a 2006 Ford Mustang that had severe mold growth inside the car due to a known water leak by the glove compartment that has also caused multiple electrical issues. The car has been at the dealership since Feb.8 and was picked up and now has to be brought back because the AC is not working and the door sensor lights are on but doors are closed. We have now paid over $1,200.00 out of pocket for a repair that was "supposedly" fixed the first time we noticed this in May 2013 but was not and that time we paid close to $1,000.00. Ford assumes no responsibility because they said there has been no recall but there were TSB's on this exact problem as early as 2007 and Ford still does not think a water and electrical problem is not a safety issue. I am so worried about driving this car and fear that nothing will ever be done until someone dies. There are tons of blogs and tons of reports to the traffic safety bureau about this same problem. Do I have any recourse?

I suspect you will have a great deal of diffifculty addressing this as yo are talking about 7-8 years after purchasing a vehicle. Absent an enforceable warranty issue, your are likely stuck.
