QUESTION

What can I do about being sold moldy pancakes?

Asked on Apr 11th, 2016 on Consumer Law - Florida
More details to this question:
I bought a box of frozen pancakes and just discovered that one of the packets (4 packets in a box) has pancakes that are completely covered in mold and the plastic was already OPEN! And two of the other packets have slimy pancakes that are just falling apart. I'm already nervous since I ate one packet from this box, not knowing the condition of the others. Should I contact the place that I bought them from about this issue or should I go straight to the manufacturer? I don't want this kind of issue to be brushed under the rug.

Contact the manufactuer and the store. Provide pictures and reciept showing purchase date. Unless the items were discovered at or near the date of purchase and respoted promptly, don't expect much other than maybe a refund or discount on new purchase.
