QUESTION

What recourse do I have?

Asked on May 06th, 2021 on Consumer Law - Florida
More details to this question:
I recently was working online with a car dealer to buy a new car. I provided personal information to them as well as a wire transfer for a large sum of money so that everything would be in place once the vehicle was delivered to my house and the paperwork was signed. I had to back out of the deal two days before the car was to be delivered due to unforseen circumstances. The salesperson understood and said I would have my money back. It's important to note the I never signed any paperwork or filled out any online form that would obligate me to purchase the car. The only info I provided was the necessary info for a credit check. My question is this: What recourse, if any, do I have if the dealer refuses to return my money?

No way to tell other than its virtually impossible that you would have a vehicle delivered to your home and cancel 2 days prior and (a) expect there to be no expenses charged and (b) that there was no document signed or endorsed that would obligate you in some way. That you would wire any money, let alone a large sum, under such circumstances is candily foolish. That said, unless or untiol there is an issue that develops there is no possible means to address all the scenarios
