More details to this question:
I have worked for this company since it started 8/1/14 before that I worked for same employer different company same kind of business. for 5 years I was never asked to sign non compete until a month ago. the company owner has made some very bad business decisions Not paying workers there final wages, taking large loans against the company for his personal gain He has used me lied to me. Got me involved in labor disputes that I am now liable for even though I had no control over his choices and had no idea he wasnt going to pay the people and no knowledge of the real trouble the company was in. He is about to be banned from doing business in this state also.. He took out a large loan a month ago on top of all the other loans he is paying. . this company will not come close to meeting our next payroll!! The daily draws make it impossible without cutting peoples pay and laying off. I am one of those people who will not see my next paycheck. I only signed a non compete 27 days ago.

Non-compete employment agreements are generally unenforceable in California, and I see nothing in your email which would suggest that you fit within an exception to that rule.
