am i under this non compete if fired?

More details to this question:
9.Term; This agreement is effective immediately on being signed by me and corp.The term of this agreement shall continue until the date that i am not an employee of corp. which is refereed to here as the "date of termination of my engagement". My obligation under this agreement survive after the date of termination of my engagement.

Based solely on this language, the non-compete would apply even if you are fired.  However, restrictive covenants such as this are looked at with some suspicion by Courts, and are often held to be unenforceable.  The fact that you were fired, rather than quit, may be one factor that a court would look at in determining whether this covenant can be enforced against you.
