More details to this question:
We purchased this home 2 years ago in order to get our kids in Marjorie Stoneman Douglas high school. Even with the inflated real estate costs we over payed by at least 200K. Last year our taxes were $17,904.00, this year they project the tax at $18,904.00. Our next store neighbor whose home is with about 200 sg. feet than ours, but on a larger lot estimate is $8,000.00 he has been in his home 28 years. Our home was not in good shape all major appliances water heater, ac units, pool equipment are at end of life, we have made a lot of improvements. We are going to be forced to sell, we cannot afford to pay this outrageous amount, more than twice other homes in our plan with similar houses.

Not sure what the question is as opposed to simply voicing a complaint. You're best bet is to retain a real estate lawyer to review your situation and direct any inquiry to them. This is likely the fact that your "overpayment" established the value of the property for taxes. The neighbor may be grandfathered in with a lower tax base.
