QUESTION

"Breach of Contract?"

Asked on Aug 22nd, 2017 on Contracts - Pennsylvania
More details to this question:
In the fall of 2015 I made two investments with an individual / small company, and paid via paypal. The invoices clearly spell out repayment terms of my "investment funds." It's 2017 and I still haven't seen a dime. All attempts to contact the individual/company to reclaim the money due me have failed. I've tried to contact paypal to get a refund at this point, but they were not helpful and said I should contact a lawyer. Will the invoices hold up in court as "Contracts"? I have 2 possible goals- 1) my initial investment back, or 2) my investment plus the promised interest What's the best action to take?

Your money is probably gone -- you probably know that.  If you want to try to collect, you should file a claim against the company with your local magistrate (if the amount is less than $12,000) and see what happens.  Even if you get a judgment, it'll be difficult to force the company to pay you, especially if it has no money, out of state or is just gone.
