My lawyer said he would get my divorce without contacting my wife, He said he would put an add in the newspaper and if she didn't answer the divorce would be final. Now he tells me he contacted her, Did he just breach our contract?

I don't practice in Tennessee, but I don't see how you could get a divorce without notifying your spouse, unless you didn't know how to contact them. In that case, it might be sufficient to just put a notice in the newspaper, but if you know how to reach her, a newspaper ad would not be sufficient.
