QUESTION

Breach of contract group home turn key.

More details to this question:
Hired consultant company. Paid first phase of $5,000. Got us to renting the home and signing lease ready to obtain our license under the assumption they checked everything out with the City of Palm Coast, FL. They specified they had. Now comes the certificate of occupancy and the home needs a fire suppression system which were told we don’t need one. We are all set with zoning. That is not the case. They want us to now put in the fire suppression system or find another home with fire suppression in it. Now they are stating it will be six more months before we can open doors. We were told this is turn key. Meaning you pay them to ensure you get your license and they act as consultants for you. Now they truly put us in a deficit and are stating it was hard for them to know that it required a fire suppression system. No you checked only on line and never called the City of Palm Coast. They now say we will give you 1,000 towards the 5-6,000 for the fire suppression system.

You will simply need to spend more money in legal fees to sort this out. Moreover, BEFORE you spend another dime on these "consultants" you need to retain a lawyer to review this transaction and see what you have gotten yourself into.......this whole deal make little senss with the facts pesented.
