Asked on Dec 22nd, 2019 on Breach of Contract - Florida
More details to this question:
My wife and I signed a contract with Hilton about 14 months before our wedding date. 10 days before our wedding We got an email stating renovations had taken longer then scheduled and they wouldn’t be able to host our wedding. In our contract it says both parties can only cancel due to an act of god, wondering what my options are

You can sue the venue for breach of contract, seeking the extra money you will have to pay to book a comparable venue at this late date.  However, I'm very surprised that the contract is not more protective of the venue, and I think you should look at it again.  I would expect it to have clauses protecting Hilton, for example limiting the damages you can recover for any breach to your deposit.
