QUESTION

Can I cancel a service agreement if said agreement was breached?

Asked on Mar 04th, 2021 on Breach of Contract - Connecticut
More details to this question:
I pay a garbage company to come pick up 2x weekly. They hardly ever if ever make to the property 2x a week. I have been fined 4x's by the city for the garbage building up on property. I had to go to court and pay and emergency cleanup plus a fine which they reduced due to the circumstances . I made an offer to garbage company, I would pay balance after deducting for the emergency cleanup as well as the fine and a charge for sending my guy to ct to go to court. ($150). I asked that we end this agreement and they come pick up their containers. They will not respond to calls, emails, letters....what are my options

I reccomend hiring an attorney to contact them and put them on notice of their breach of the contract, the violations and fines you have incurred and your cancelation of the contract and possibly a demand amount as well.  Please feel free to contact us if we can be of assistance.

Information provided doesn't create an attorney/client privilege nor constitute an offer of services and is only general responses to hypotheticals
