QUESTION

Can I fire my roofer for abandoning the job

Asked on May 13th, 2018 on Breach of Contract - Florida
More details to this question:
I hired a roofer to replace my roof after hurricane Irma. I hired him in December, but he didn’t start the job until February. He worked one day stripping off the old shingles. He had part of the metal delivered a week later, but he hasn’t shown up to install it. I’ve called and texted the representative and the company many times as well, but he only responded once to say he was having problems getting the metal after switching companies once already. What are my legal options?

You will need to hire a lawyer to review your contract and then go from there. There is no simple resolution to this, especially if you paid the roofer and look to recover money.
