can i get my car back back from ex girlfriens

More details to this question:
I sold my girlfriend of5 yrs my 2008 Honda for 4000 it,was worth 12000. I had her sign a note saying I could buy back the car if we broke up for the amount she paid.we broke up recently and she refuses to give me the car back. I sold car to her in2012 and she hasn't paid me anything. I didn't have the note witnessed or have a notary sign it. am I legal able to get my car back?

The lack of witnesses or notarization does not invalidate the contract.  Assuming that there are no other problems (e.g. your ex claims her signature was forged, that she was under duress when she signed it, that the agreement was subsequently modified, that she paid you, etc.),  you should be able to enforce it in Court, or get damages for the breach.
