More details to this question:
I recent bought a jar of smuckers brand strawberry jam from Walmart and when I opened it the next day it has mold in it, can I sure Walmart or smuckers? If so, in what grounds exactly and for how much? I am on a mobile device and I can't choose my own state or the correct legal topic, I apologize for any confusion. I am from Salem Oregon

Yes, you can sue Smuckers and Walmart on a theory of breach of the implied warranty of merchantibility.  On these facts, you can recover the amount you paid for the jelly.
