QUESTION

Can i sue a hotel for not refunding my money?

Asked on Oct 30th, 2020 on Breach of Contract - Oklahoma
More details to this question:
I stayed at a hotel and it was filthy and unsafe. Knife marks in the bathroom door, no iron, paint over the lent in the bathroom and the list goes on and on. I did not stay there more than 4 hours and got a room at a different hotel because this was just unsafe. the microwave had not been cleaned in months and possible blood on the floor. I did not want to get a room in the same hotel. I tried to seek a lawsuit but was told because no one was hurt i had no case. There are now not refunding my money. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and health department. Can i sue for not being reimbursed?

Of course, anyone can sue anyone for anything, and if you're believed it sounds as if you would win.  Nobody has to be hurt physically for you to have a case, you were hurt monetarily, and you may be able to recover the money you lost.  Whether that's enough for you to go through the hassle of a lawsuit is up to you.  It would help if you had evidence beyond your word, for example pictures of the filthy microwave.
