can i sue for breach of contract even tho persons name is not on the loan

son in law wanted to trade truck in on a car but his credit is bad so the loan is in mine and my husbands name he left my daughter and left car so that I am stuck with a 700 dollar car payment

Yes, but you may have difficulty proving the breach of contract, i.e. that your ex son-in-law agreed to pay for the car.
