QUESTION

Can I sue someone for paying to do a task but they didn’t do it ?

More details to this question:
I don’t have a contact but I paid someone total of $300 to manage a stock account , and also use $100 to invest for me. They did neither of those things and pocketed the money. I have proof through text that they would of this certain task

UNless they were licensed stock brokers the transaction you describe is illegal to start. Unfortunately or a$400.00 dispute you wont likely be getting loads of law enforcment/SEC attention but you can try.
