QUESTION

Can we sue our lawyer

Asked on Jul 05th, 2014 on Breach of Contract - Florida
More details to this question:
My wife just won her SSI disability case. We were denied the first time and hired a lawyer to appeal. We literally did all the paperwork and resubmitted it our selves. The lawyer took months to contact us and never return calls .His secretary that we initially met with was either always out of town or at court. We also received a bill after he was paid

So you failed on your first attempt, hired a lawyer, claim he did nothing "after the fact" and now presumably dont want to pay him? This would have been more credible if you fired him during the process because he was not responsive or not "doing his job". Raising these issues after the fact will likely be percived as simply being opportunistic and greedy unless there is undeniable evidence that the lawyer and his office provided absolutely NOTHING that aided result. In the future, ifyou are unhappy with a lawyer or feel he is doing nothing, youneed to take action ASAP, not after the fact.
