would it be considered grand larceny if someone moved an item from one part of a county to the other? I have a friend that is in a dispute with a business over an item that according to the contract an item was not susposed to be removed from the location specified in the contract (item in question is a coop for chickens, hes claiming value of over $1000.00) is this a criminal matter or a civil matter? or is this business just blowing steam trying to scare her into paying it off +300.00 for his "wasted time"
The line between civil and criminal matters is not always clear and I would need more information based on the nature of the relationship between the parties and what the circumstances were to determine whether your friend may be facing possible criminal charges.
