QUESTION

Contract renewal terms

Asked on May 26th, 2022 on Contracts - Connecticut
More details to this question:
I signed up for an online bodybuilding coach. They had me sign a 12 month contract, Under the renewal terms it says " Open Ended Renewal: Automatically renews with monthly payments of $350.00 beginning 12/30/2022". Under that bulleted it says "Requires a 30 day notice to cancel". I signed this believing I could cancel anytime after reading that it requires a 30 day notice to cancel, not specifying that the 30 day notice was after the contract ended. I contacted the coach and he said I could give a 30 day notice to cancel anytime, I give him the 30 day notice and he told me to email the admin of the company to cancel. I am now being told I can't cancel my subscription, since it was a 12 month contract. I am wondering if there is anyway for me to get out of this contract, as I believed originally I could cancel anytime.
