Asked on Jun 17th, 2014 on Breach of Contract - California
More details to this question:
I incorporated myself under PDQ Group Inc. Of which I have contracted with DermaTech Research, LLC (DTR), as their VP of Sales. (Contracted not employee). The offer letter outlines a pay scale escalating over time. DTR has failed to pay me based on the offer letter and to date they are $50,000 in the rears to me. Additionally, they owe money to several other vendors (LinkedIn, PR Firm¿ect¿) Question: What are my best options to collect the monies owed me. Their only assets they have are the inventory of skincare products they have in stock.

Based on your comments, either you or your corporation has a cause of action for breach of contract for failure to pay for the services rendered. It would be helpful if you have some sort of written agreement that spells out the terms of the contract; but if not, documents of your efforts in selling the product will work as an alternative. Writing a demand letter is a good starting point, but you will most likely have to file suit and obtain a judgment so that you can reach DermaTech's assets.
