Dismissed from LPN program D/T HIPAA violation, chances of nursing school?

More details to this question:
I viewed my Mother's charts on a hospital computer while in clinical with her approval; even though I now understand that does not matter in this issue. I was dropped from the LPN program and have not heard from the hospital as of yet (it has been 5 days). Will I ever have a chance at being accepted into a nursing program? If hospital does not sue me/file a claim (unsure exactly how it works), is it still on a record of mine? I do not want to give up, this is my dream.

You need to appeal the dismissal from the LPN. I am not sure why viewing your mother's information with her approval is a violation. Your mother should write out an approval and submit it.
