More details to this question:
The dealership agreed to sale me the car, took the down payment, made me procure insurance on the vehicle, then made me leave the car on the lot and wait to sign with financing because they wanted to detail the car and fix any issues, at no cost to me, before I drove off with it. 2 weeks later, they would not give me the car without an additional 3,000 dollars down because they'd put a new transmission in the vehicle. Do I have a case?

Possibly. BUT I have no doubt there is more to this story that will have to be sorted out. This will all revolve around the terms of your purchase/finance agreement. If you have further questions, feel free to call out offices at 1-800-922-6442 for a FREE consultation.
