QUESTION

Do I have legal recourse

Asked on Oct 24th, 2019 on Contracts - New Jersey
More details to this question:
A hospital in Newark contracted me to be a director at the hospital and used my license for this. There was a separate laboratory in the hospital that was supposed to be under another person’s license and I did not agree to be the director of this other laboratory. Despite this and without my knowledge my license was used and listed as the laboratory director. I only found this out 8 months later at the time of inspection of the mail laboratory. When I raised the issue about improper use of my license, I was terminated. I was not compensated for use of my license and was put at legal risk if anything had gone wrong without my knowledge during the time my license was being used. Do I have any legal recourse? I have detailed documentation that can be emailed if needed. This occurred between Jan and Oct 2018

I'd be curious to see how your employment contract was drafted but it is possible that you may have a retaliation claim.
