More details to this question:
We went into contract in February of 2014 with an organization for a home improvement project. the total for the project was about $30,000. We gave about $7,400 down payment. The contract stipulated work to start within 14 days of receipt of an approved permit. It also stipulated that the project would complete in 3 to 4 weeks. We've seen nobody since our down payment. Nothing has started. Most emails and voice mails were unreturned. Those that were returned claimed unforeseen work load and other excuses, followed by no dates and no action. We want out of the contract and our down payment returned. What are our options? Thank you
