QUESTION

forced to move before lease

Asked on May 06th, 2014 on Breach of Contract - Florida
More details to this question:
I am being told to move (within 2 weeks) before my lease is up (06/30/2014) because the owner is giving the property back to the bank. The real estate company told me that if I stay with their properties that they would waive this months rent and transfer my deposits. The problem is they do not have any properties in the area that I am looking for. Now they are saying that I may have to pay this months rent. With them breaching my contract do I have any leg to stand on?

You may want to retain a lawyer to intervene in regard to the Protecting Tenants in Foreclosue Act. Just because the LL gives property back to bank does not likely void your existing lease. If you have questions and would like a FREE consultation, simply contact our office at 1-800-922-6442.
