Asked on Aug 06th, 2019 on Contracts - Massachusetts
More details to this question:
I co-signed for a friend of mine and she isnt making payments on the jeep. The bank is now looking for me to make payments. I refuse to make payments on a vehicle that i do not own nor do i have. SO how can i take her to court to make her pay for this car and protect my credit??? She has done this to 2 other people and both cars were re-po and i can have my credit ruined because all she does is go around stealing and using people? What can i do in this situation??

You can sue your friend for any damages you have suffered due to having to make payments on the loan, and if she has the money to pay you, you will be made whole.  However, nothing you've written in your question gives you any basis to avoid your obligation to the lender.
