More details to this question:
I sold him my commercial truck and have a signed contract he was to pay the bank directly and now the bank repoed the truck and sold it and there is a ballance on it and they are now coming after me. the bank has been aware of the sale from teh begining and has not notified me about the repo or sale until today.

You made a foolish deal, without a lawyer, and now have to deal with the result. You need to sue him for the payments and be prepared for the bank to sue you since YOU werent released from the contract with them or the buyer refinanced you out.
