QUESTION

I have a question about a land contract

Asked on Mar 12th, 2013 on Contracts - New York
More details to this question:
We have done a land contract starting April of 2008. The contract is for 5 years ending April 1st 2013. The tenants still owe over $10,000.00 and have not paid the taxes for the property for last year. They have to stay current with the taxes as stated in the contract. They only pay when they want too. As of April 1st the contract ends. Can the contract be voided because it was only for 5 years. They have defaulted multiple times. Please respond to this for I do need some advise. Thank you

It depends upon what the contract says.  The whole matter is governed by the terms of the contract.
