I need to file a suit against my employer for termination without notice

Do you have a contract (could be personal, union, or, in some cases, arise from an employee handbook) which requires your employer to give you a period of prior notice before termination?  Absent such a contract, there is no requirement that your employer provide you with prior notice of termination.
