QUESTION

I won a bid at online auctoin, I want to cancel

Asked on Jul 20th, 2014 on Breach of Contract - Florida
More details to this question:
I won a online bid for a foreclosed property hosted by county court.I want to cancel the purchase. But since I wired the money , they forced me to buy the property instead of just forfeiting my deposit. Other successful bidders only get their 5% deposit forfeited if they did not wire money. I called the clerk of court two hours after I wired the money and told them to cancel the purchase.I followed their instruction to file objection of sale. Practically , the court never pursuits more than 5% deposit even the successful bidders has more money in their account with court . Also, the property address on the auction website is not accurate. They did not put " UNIT 1" , which might mislead people into a detached single family house. In fact , it is a townhouse only. If , by mistake, the property is listed as "18410 village edge cir" instead of the right --" 8410 " , could the auction be valid ? What deviations are acceptable? What deviations are not acceptable?

If you really intend to dispute this purchase, you will simply have to hire legal counsel to do so, at your expense, as there simply is no way for these issues to be addressed properly in an internet inquiry. To be candid, if you are engaging in real estate speculation as described and dont already have a lawyer on retainer, you should re-think the wisdom of such an enterprise before something catastrophic happens.
