If both parties sign a written agreement Does that constitute a contract

More details to this question:
My company has provided a service for almost 2 years and just recently we were told that our services were no longer needed. We have a contract that both parties signed.

Contract and agreement are synonymous, although some agreements need to meet certain formalities (such as beng in writing) to be enforceable.  Whether your agreement/contract is enforceable, and whether letting you go breaches that agreement, are different stories, which I can't evaluate from the few facts you've given.
