I'm an artist and feel I've been scammed into a copyright contract.

The man misprepresented his financial situation. He was originally supposed to financially back the project(advertising,website,marketing) but decided after the contract to do it himself which is unexcetable. I have been lied too countless times. He may have past convictions and was recently unavailable to fulfill his end because he was arrested with a felony possession of a handgun. He has possession of my slide film and was supposed to put it in a safety deposit box to complete the contract. He has been unavailable because I believe he is in jail. The phot is an extremely unique image of the WTC I saved from public eyes after 9-11. I wanted to use it for charity but fear he may have exposed the photo for his own financial gain. Please help.
