Asked on Mar 23rd, 2016 on Breach of Contract - California
More details to this question:
I have a commercial lease for a small industrial property, the manager found out that I was in the military and has attempted to raise my (just my) rent previously independent of the other tenants, now that I have informed him I was medically retired from injuries in Afghanistan he wants to raise my rent even higher in violation of the terms set forth in the lease. You have a lease, presumably for a set term at a set rent.  Attempting to raise the rent higher than the lease provides is a breach of contract, having nothing to do with discrimination.
