More details to this question:
My sister was going to college and need a laptop. I told her I would put it on my card of she would make the monthly payments. She never did no matter how much I nagged her. We got a fee added on bc it wasn't paid off in time. The total she owes me is $1,000. Would I get any of that if I won? Or would it all basically go to the lawer? Could I get more for the inconvience an the fact she never paid?

You do not need a lawyer. You can sue her in small claims court.
