My car was reposesed late Friday nite early Saturday morning 4th of July weekend. Because if holiday I couldn't talk to anyone till Tues. Long story short I got all "info" given to me to get it back I told them I'd get it by 7-8 and was told that was fine. After paying the $1160. Fee today to get it back and the finance comp telling me today they were sending a email to release it to me just to find out the finance company released it to the aution lot earlier thus morning. After talking on the phone for a hr and being admitted to they were wrong and they are paying for my car to be returned. However my car is a vital part of my job and I explained that to them as well as how this is stressing me out and I have a heart condition. Now I'm left with not knowing when my car is going to be returned after I did everything they told me. My husband left work early as well so we could get my car. My question is, should they not of offered me a rental reimbursement, can I sue for this and more?
If you have a heart condition and can't deal with stress and need your car for work then you need to make a better effort to pay your car bill on time and not have it get repod. This all occurred because you breached your agreement so no they will not be obligated to offer you a rental at thier expense. You need to be happy they didnt accelrate the loan and demand full payment of the total loan value. You need to focus on working with them to reurn the car in a reasonable time and if need be hirin a lawyer to helo that happen.
