My company resinded my serverance package

More details to this question:
I was was sent a severance package from my company and I signed and agreed with the terms. I get a phone from HR and telling me that I will not get a serverance package.

Did your company provide a rationale for their decision to rescind the severance? Do you know if this happened to other employees who were laid off as well?
