Notarization between Canada and USA

More details to this question:
I am starting an internet based company. I live in the United States, and one of the people that I will be employing lives in Canada. What I need to know is, if I send him a contract to sign under a notary, will the notarization from Canada apply in the US?

Notarization is not required for the creation of or signature of a contract. A Canadian notarization (if you insist) would also have to have a Canadian "apostile" which signifies that the purported Canadian notary actually is a notary.
