Oral agreement

More details to this question:
In 2005 we made an oral agreement with our neighbor to removed a chain link fence and put up a wood fence with the his permission. He now want us to pay them for the chain link fence and share the wood fence with them. Is there a statue of limitation for this?

Yes, certainly. But you have bigger issues than the statute of limitations -- you have to be neighbors with these folks in perpetuity. What's the right answer?
