Regarding a Contract

More details to this question:
I Went to a furniture store. They were offering the 90 with no interest, so I decided to apply to see if i qualified. They took my bank account information, Social Security, I.D, and debit card. They stated that i qualified for 1000 for credit, so i picked out some furniture. I asked the person helping me, that i wanted to see the contract of how much are my monthly payments? She said everything has been processed contact the financial company , they will help you with all that. I was concerned because that is not the right way to do things, so I receive an email with the contract. Stating that its a rent to own furniture they are going to charge me 3x the amount I purchased. The furniture company signed my name on the contract. I don't want anything to do with the scammers. Can i file a Law suit? I wonder how many people they scam?

You can sue by filing a small claims case for up to $10,000.  The first step is to send them a demand letter.  The second step is to file a petition with the small claims court.  Here is a link that may help you: http://www.courts.ca.gov/selfhelp-smallclaims.htm
