I am renting a room in a town home, I signed a typed up agreement to pay $500 a month to rent a room and private bath. I am looking to move out do to how I'm treated my agreement is until August 1, 2014. Is the agreement I signed legally binding?

There's nothing in your email that would indicate that your agreement is not binding. However, if you were treated improperly, the landlord may have breached the agreement.
