QUESTION

signing a non-compete

Asked on Jan 11th, 2015 on Contracts - Florida
More details to this question:
I signed a non compete for the business I work for and it says that it lasts for 5 years and I was wondering if a non compete is valid since it is 5 years and also the specifics of the contract if someone could call me and I can talk with them. I am NOT looking to do the same thing but I currently work in sales selling television time and am interested in doing sales for Internet websites etc related sales work in the same city. The sales I do now is sales all over the state so I don't know if that means I cannot work with those companies for 5 years? We have worked with 700 companies in the last year.
