QUESTION

Sold an as is vehicle

Asked on Oct 19th, 2017 on Contracts - Colorado
More details to this question:
I sold an as is vehicle telling the buyer that it needed a new manifold cost of $750 and a catalytic converter cost of $350 and that it may not pass emissions. the buyer said that is fine and asked to lower the price by $1000 so I agreed and accepted the offer. this was 2 weeks ago. He called saying that he has put $1600 into the vehicle and it won't pass emissions. I'm not sure what all he did because he was yelling at me so I hung up. Can he demand that I take the vehicle back and give him back the money he paid for it?

He can demand whatever he wants, but that doesn't mean that you are obligated to comply.  If the facts are as you write, you have no such obligation.  Of course, unless you have all this in writing, it may be his word against yours in court, and there is no guarantee that the judge/jury will believe you.
