Sue an apartment complex for not returning my deposit

More details to this question:
I left my apartment cleaner than when i moved in. I was told that i ripped the carpet and there was pet odor. I have pictures of the move in apartment and the filth also the apartment had fleas and the roaches are ongoing and much more. They broke their lease in numerous places

This can be done but without actually hiring a lawyer is a huge waste of time becuase your BEST case scenario s simply spending inordinate amoutn of time to get your own money back and the landlord loses nothing making you go to trial.
