Hello, I had just a quick question. If I plan to file a lawsuit out of state, should I seek legal help from a law firm located within that state or the one where I am based? Thank you!

Appellate Practice Attorney serving New York, NY
A firm in that state.  However, it's been my experience that many laymen believe that they have to sue in another state when in fact they have every right to sue in their home state, which is almost always advantageous to them.
